Why it exists
Built because every reading app wanted to be a social network
I wanted a place to write down what I read and what I thought about it. Not a feed, not a rating average, not a recommendation engine. A log.
So the app does four things and stops: add a book, edit its record, tag it however you like, and export the lot. Everything lives on your phone until you decide otherwise.
Your foreperson
Birch
They fell the books, keep the ledger, and haul the load out when the pile gets high.

How to work the log
01
Felling
Add a book by search, or from a screenshot
02
Sawing
Trim the record down to what you care about
03
Hauling
Send it out as CSV or straight to a Sheet
No accounts. No sync you didn't ask for. The database is a file on your phone, and you can walk away with it any time.
Plate I–IV
The whole app

Plate I
The library
Ruled rows, grouped by month. Unsynced titles sit up top.

Plate II
Add from a screenshot
Crop a photo of a cover or a recommendation; fix what it reads.

Plate III
One book's record
Read-only until you tap a section to edit it.

Plate IV
The haul
Pick the books, pick the columns, send it.
Getting your data out
Two ways out, both yours
Save a CSV straight to your phone and nothing leaves the device. Or connect a Google account once and push new entries to a Sheet, choosing which columns go across.
Either way the app tells you exactly which books are about to be marked as exported, and waits for you to say yes.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes, and there's nothing to buy inside it.
Where does my data live?
On your phone. Google is only involved if you connect a Sheet yourself.
Android?
Not yet. Not ruled out.
Why no covers?
It's a log, not a shelf. Text scans faster.
